RE: New Zealand

I have a friend who is in the process of moving to New Zealand. She is a fantastic fiddler and wants to know if there are any sessions, pipers or what ever in New Zealand.

Any contacts would be appriciated.

All the best,
Pat Sky

This chap could probably help…

Hi, where is she going in NZ?
if she’s in wellington, theres a pretty handy session monday nights in a pub called kitty oshea’s. Pat higgins is the man for that one, methinks he lurks here and there on various trad forums. Try thesession and the wooden flute one also, he’ll definitely have something to say.

www.ceolaneas.org i think is on also soon enough with cillian valely as the pipes tutor also, north of south island NZ

sorry got that wrong its mikie smyth this year last year was cillian vallely

Pat,

Check your pm’s.

Cheers L42B

Hey Pat

( I think I know your name from IrTrad-L or somewhere )
Tell your friend to contact me, I’am in Wellington, I co-lead a tidy little session on a Monday night, ( strictly tunes, mostly Irish )
( pat.higgins@chapmantripp.com )

Wellington is a hot-bed of tunes at the moment. Thats the place for her.

Also we have classes coming up in early June in Nelson
( www.ceolaneas.org ). John Carty, June McCromack, Michael Rooney , Mikie Smyth etc.

Regards
Pat Higgins
