my email address is changing; now that Time Warner has bought out Adelphia; I need to change my email address to *. roadrunner.com. Somehow 'roadrunner" doesn’t " just doesn’t have it", but then , I think, neither did Adelphia.
Its annoying- send email out to everyone; figure out what sites used an email address as part of the passphrase, change it, hope you have it all done before they shut the address off.
Is this one of those…Just get over it and cope?

I’ve had gmail since it started in '04 and I’ve been very happy with it. I don’t anticipate I’ll have to change it, unless and until Google goes out of business, which I doubt will happen anytime soon.

Since you’ve got to change your email address anyway, take the opportunity to look around and see what else is on offer. Yahoo mail or Google mail might suit your purposes.
Show Time Warner you have no loyalty towards them if they have none towards you. They ought to be able to take on your email address as it stood and not put you to this trouble.
that’s why my email has an initial that no longer matches my name in it. I have used that email for so long, and have it for things such as bills, banking, etc. - that I don’t want to go through and change all that.
Grrrrr- mine just went down the tubes today- I’ve been on the phone with the server and had to get a NEW one. Don’t ya just love it?
