Prom night

Actually, the senior prom coincided, inconveniently, with the 8th grade farewell (farewell to middle school) dance. By default, I ended up the hair stylist. I will not take that role again if any of these girls have weddings–way too much angst involved–better to leave that to a professional.

Egads, prom night! I’m sorta glad we never went through that ritual as parents - I have absolutely no idea where to buy chastity belts or an audio bug small enough to hide in a corsage or cuff link.

Was I supposed to buy that stuff??

(nice, in retrospect, how the girls posed in front of one of our lovely walls with exposed insulation…)

Great looking family!! I only noticed the genuine happy smiles not the walls that look like mine in the background.

Beautiful girls, Em… My daughter (my only child) is getting married today. Want to come over and do her hair?

I’ve got 10 minutes until the alarm clocks start going off (I’ve been up for two hours), so I’m checking email, visiting the board, etc. to slow my mind down for a couple of seconds. These milestones are killers.

Susan

Two very lovely young ladies.

Congratulations, Susan!!

And Emily!

My goodness…now I am focused on diapers…I hear the time will go by quickly and soon it will be proms and weddings (plurality assumes more than one child).

Congatulations, Susan. I’m glad things have gone well for her.
