PRO low whistle D?

Hi guys

I bought a low whistle about 15 years ago. It’s a non tunable aluminium one with PRO written on the bottom.

Any idea what make it is?

I’m not really a low whistle kind of guy, prefer the sound of a good high whistle, but chatting to a friend at the weekend has rekindled my interest in the instrument.

I’ll see if I can get a pic up.

Cheers

Yes photos would be great! I’m interested to see it.

Most likely an older Kerry Pro, made by Phil Hardy. It should also have a key marking next to the Pro. The one I had (also non-tunable) was anodized, which gave it a frosted look (more whitish)-not polished aluminum (more silver), though that may vary how they were finished.

And

Yep, that’s what it is-Kerry Pro, with the old style scalloped holes. Though it does look like it’s just polished aluminum.

I have one of these Kerry Pro D’s. It has a lovely soft mellow tone.

Thanks guys!

Knew you would be able to find it.

Must get back into the low whistle game.

Cheers

Agreed, great getting back into low whistles again (for me anyway)-they are unique in tone, and deliver a lot of bang for the buck!

Have a blast!
