help identifying whistle

Hi - I wonder if anyone can help? I’m trying to determine the key, and maybe the manufacturer of the low whistle that Jack Lerole is seen playing in a few photos taken, I’d guess in the late-90s when he played a few big gigs with the Dave Matthews Band in the US:

It’s a bit of a long shot, I realise. It’s related to a puzzle I have - a few early (1950’s) kwelas I’ve been trying to transcribe seem to go well below the range of a Bb (the typical kwela whistle key) - I’d go so far to think that maybe a young Lerole or contemporary got his hands on a low F… would that have been possible then? I hope someone can help!

You should ask Ian Turnbull, the South African whistle maker (Impempe).

Looks like a Kerry to me.

Hopefully this picture may show a bit clearer what whistles he used …probably chieftains

Hey! I think that’s my whistle. Almost definately a Kerry (Chieftain). Most likely it’s a Kerry Tenor. And about the key… It looks like he has the whole set! I hope that helps.
