Hello! I’m looking for blank pennywhistle sheet music (treble clef) that also has the fingering graphic ( such as a little whistle with open holes) beneath. I’d like to write up some simple songs for a child, and put the notes above the fingerings. Is there a printable like this available? What about a computer program for something similar? Thank you in advance. ![]()
There used to be a whistle font on-line which gave you the whistle fingering when you typed the letter corresponding with the note.
It still seems to be on-line here
I wouldn’t know how to combine it with blank staff though (which is also available on the web).
I think you have to find blank staff paper and add your own graphics. The placement of the whistles would be dependant on the tune.
This seems to be a great site for what you need. You can print the pages directly from the site without have to download anything and you can change to number of staves to make room for the whistle pictures (they call them sets). Hope it helps.
Thank you all for the good ideas. I downloaded the whistle font, then went in search of some staff music fonts, and found a nice one called http://www.fontspace.com/robert-allgeyer/musiqwik musiquik. Combined, they do even more than I expected as I was hoping to find a blank staff and open keyed whistle, but these allow me to fill them in as desired. Very cool! Thanks again. ![]()
You can use abc and abcm2ps to produce notation with the whistle fingerings. Check out the abcplus pages of Guido Gonzato (who posts here).
