I have made a copper penny whistle in D,and a copper fipple flute in c.They both sound sweet, although I like the sound of the flute better. Now after playing with them both for awile, I think I should start learning the proper fingering. Do’es anyone know where I can find charts on the net to print out?
Thanx
Brian
The link off Chiff & Fipple entitled “Fingering Charts” (under the Help for Beginners section) takes you to a great resource for D whistle fingering. I believe the fingering would be the same for all whistles–with a C whistle, for example, just remove the “D” on the chart and put a “C,” next note (instead of E), D (for a C whistle), and so on.

Don’t know if you need fingering charts for tunes …but just in case
