Once again it is time for the no-holds-barred, Get Ready for Thanksgiving the Hartford Way, MONSTER session. The basement of City Steam gets filled with musicians (dozens and dozens), singers, and world class step dancers (two of whom are home from tours with Riverdance troupes).
Wednesday night put your casseroles in the oven, grab your instrument (or not) and head in to City Steam, Hartford, CT for a T-day eve like you’ve never had before. We start between 7:30 and 8:00 and go to 10:00 or so. There is good food, beer brewed on the premises, and a whole lot of people enjoying the sound.
I’m the short, dark haired woman with the Abell and the glass of Jameson (though I’ll take another if you’re buying!). Come introduce yourself!
What? So who is the tall red-head with the cheap Sweetone I’ve been buying drinks for all this time? 
I don’t know…but he’s cute, isnt he?
And that means you OWE me drinks!

Wonderful session last night! About 30 or so showed up. Good music and time for all.
Merlin, did you know that I…ME…THE CAT HERSELF…got handed the session bill!!!
I laughed and handed it over to PV who laughed and handed it back. Manager came down and said the bill stands, we owed $40 over the normal beer budget. I told him to eat it.
This is the same jackass who decided to charge a cover the second year.
I will talk to the owner next time I see him. We filled that room. The tab was a major insult.
