Posts and different screen sizes

I’ve been noticing that now and then a series of posts will scroll way off to the right of my screen while most of them are neatly centered. I screen at 800 X 600, 95hz on an iMac. I can change the screen but don’t understand why some posts scroll off the screen Anyone know? Dale?

Things that can’t be resized will force the table width to increase, causing things to go off the right side of the screen. Examples of things that can’t be resized are large pictures and long web addresses. You can get around these by resizing and re-uploading the picture, or by using html tags to hide the url.

For example: this is a plain url:

http://www.tannahillweavers.com (sorry, it’s the first I can think of.)

And this is a url that is hidden through the use of HTML tags:

Ava’s exactly right.
Browsers wont ‘word wrap’ URLS (which is the most common reason for stuff to get ‘big’ in here) except in only a couple places, so it’s easy for one to be too big to break up in places.
As proof, the following national weather forecast url will now make this thread ‘big’.
