first one is mcgibbney’s fancy.you could find it on catharine mcevoy first album.fintan vallely have it also on his wooden flute tutorial…

Yes, McGivney’s or McGibbney’s looks right … though my first impression was of a setting of The Cuckoo’s Nest, with a minor turn at the end of each part. It does seem to be in the same family.

The second tune (with parts reversed) is in the Adrian Scahill ABC collection as “Gan Ainm”. A few years ago on IRTRAD-L, Jeff Lindqvist identified it as “The Birds” from Track 10 of the Moloney-Keane-O’Connell album “There Were Roses”: 10. Harvey Street Hornpipe / The Birds / O’Connor’s Frolics. But I don’t have that album to check it.

I also know the second one as “The Birds”. Learned it from Kevin Crawford last year. He teached it as “a fling, hornpipe, slow reel or whatever, it’s just nice”. 
Yup, MTG has it right (as usual… 
), the first one is McGibbney’s Fancy which is a setting of the Cuckoo’s Nest. John Creaven has a lovely version on his fine, solo flute CD: The Story So Far.
