Becouse here (Finland) is no chance to take lessons from piping/ teacher, so is there available good books/tutors abouit playing with regulators?
Cheers,

This is useful:
I asked a similar question in the other forum. I got some very good replies, including one in particular from leremarkable.
The NPU volume 3 has a few tunes at the end usiing the regs although the instruction is not very detailed. I gather from NPU that volume 4, due out sometime soon, is dedicated to regulator playing.
Some of my beginner regulator experience -
Tunes the reeds a little sharp then flatten each note starting from the highest with ptfe tape of blutak on the rush/wire. Tuning against an electronic tuner is useful, but you need a good sense of your playing pressure, so constant reference back to the chanter / and tenor drone is needed.
I watched as many videos as I could find to see how players positioned the regs / chanter / knee etc. everyone seemed different in their approach. I move the regs with the bag and try to minimize changes in the chanter position.
Start simple - less is more.
Make sure you’re solid on the tune
Practice when your wife and sarcastic children are out of the house.

That should be labeled rule #1, applies to any kind of piping practice.
Something for the FAQ’s, right JES?
Cheers!
