planning to study music

Hi evryone .
After thinking a long time I decided to try to start to study music after leaving the middle school or the high school. After all searchings and planings I still have some questions:
1.do you know a good college/university with music as a degree subject???
2.what about requires (like a wanted instrument or notes reading )???
3.Did one of you study music yet??
I want to study music for teaching and as a practical work

ceya,Julian

You’re going to try it everywhere?

The best degree course for folk and Traditional Music in the UK is, I understand, offered by Newcastle University:

http://www.ncl.ac.uk/undergraduate/course/W340

The entrance requirements are on that site, and Grade A Music is a must.

What instrument/s and style/s of music are you currently playing?

Hello Martin
I currently play :
Tinwhistle
low whistle
Irish Flute
Crystal Flute
German Flute(I started it 4 weeks ago)
Fiddle(same as German Flute above)
Western&Spanish Guitar

Normally I dont play a standart style ,my friends call that Irish freestyle mystic folk   .
Well styles I can play is Irish Folk,Celtic Folk,a bit of American Country,Mystic music and German and Lower rhine folk.

thx for the link I will see the page later,I search via search engines ,too.

cya,Julian

Newcastle has quite a good music department, for performance and music history. I studied in Newcastle - at the smaller Northumbria University - but had friends in the Newcastle uni. music department.
