There are a couple vacancies in the pipes classes at Music Under the Mountain, held in Tasmania next January. The 2005 classes will have two teachers, so the class can be split into beginners and not-so-beginners. There will also be a pipe-maker on hand to sort out the reeds and leaks, leaving the tutors free to tute. See http://www.celt.com.au/summer.html for details.
Don’t forget it’s summer in January in Tasmania (along with the rest of the southern hemisphere).
PCL? That wouldn’t be Patrick C Lyons would it? If so, how do you do. I’m David (ausdag) Goldsworthy - Brisbane piper associated with Jack the Lad, not that I expect you’ve heard of them.
Well, we sort of don’t do as much performing as we used to since most of us went and got full-time jobs and now that I’m studying part-time as well as working, there’s not much time for anything else. We almost went down for the National Festival one year but it didn’t eventuate. I few of us went down to the Port Fairy (sp) festival but I was in Indonesia at that time. Ceri and I are going to try and put something together again this/next year with a view to doing some recording.
Seems like no-one’s heard from Phil for the past year or so.
I haven’t seen or heard of Dicky for about three years. Rumour was he was working in Paris. If so, there should be sightings. It would be good to hear him again. I’ve had the pleasure of playing his pipes. They are SOOOO responsive.
