Our local instrument repair man has an old flute. It is a simple system 10 keyed (I think) with an ivory head joint, lined, with a huge crack. It is imprinted with the name C. Pibcher (NY). Anyone have any info on this maker?
I believe the name should read:
Carl Fischer
He was a prominent music and instrument dealer circa. 1872.
I don’t think he produced his own flutes, only placed his mark upon them.

Sounds German. Small holes and right hand section one piece with footjoint?
