Hey guys,
I’m looking for a new whistle song book, one which comes with a CD, so I could play along with the songs. Does anyone know of any good books?
Peace and creativity,
Sara Michelle

Well, Sara … you couldn’t go wrong with LE MCCullough’s 121 Favorite Irish Session Tunes. Comes with 4 CDs which play a slower version and a faster version of each tune. This would keep you going for a long time.
i’m sure many on the board would highly recommend it.Gm

There are hundreds available. If you e-mail me, I’ll send you a list.

Sara,
Try this one at Simply Irish. I have it and really like it. It has tunes for all levels from beginners to advanced.

I second WhistlingGipsy’s choice, I think it’s a great source, all sorts of Irish tunes included, and played at a reasonably speed, on a normal D whistle, with a little light guitar strumming in the background.
Don’t get put off by the website that shows a picture of the Tinwhistle book, but calls it the Fiddle book.
Hey all,
Thanks for the replies! LE MCCullough’s 121 Favorite Irish Session Tunes sounds like a really cool book - that would definately keep me going for a loooonnnngggg time!
Steve,
I’m about to send you an e-mail! Thanks!
WhistlingGypsy,
Thanks for the link! The book at Simply Irish seems really cool too!
Peace and creativity,
Sara
