I thought I’d lost my constant companion for the last few months, my Clarke Original which I bought used for $10 along with the Bill Ochs book. Reached in my bag to pull it out while waiting to get my Air Inspection on my car and it wasn’t there!
I searched around the car (and the other car) and the house to no avail. I was despondent. I know it’s only a cheap tin whistle and even the gold markings are worn off and the mouthpiece has a small dent from being dropped (from the previous owner), but I love this whistle…
Finally found it this morning near my exercise bike. What? You whistle while you exercise? Well, yeah, I figure it builds breath and lung control.
Sort of like practicing oration at the sea shore. ![]()
So life is good again.
Anyone else have stories of lost and found whistles?
