Noticed this on the whistle forum. Apparently an entire performance.

Great stuff. I did a search on the key word “irish” and got a ton of hits.
One is a recording of Peter Browne solo on the pipes from May 2000 that I’m watching/listening to right now. There is a couple of performances by Cherish the Ladies as well.
The video quality is poor, but the sound quality is good.
Thanks for sharing the find.

Edit: Lunasa, cillian valleley, etc, etc.., good stuff! ![]()
Just search on IRISH and you’ll find plenty.
I flew out to Washington for the Island Arts Festival in May, 2000. Heard Peter Browne. Later that night, I heard O’Flynn and Seamus Heaney. DeDanann played the next night. Kennedy Center, being a US Federal operation (our tax money at work), ensures that when it runs concerts that charges the public, it also has free concerts. It looks like the free concert comprise the ones on the web site.
I met uilleann piper Paul Levin R.I.P.for the first (and last) time after the Peter Browne concert. He can be heard on another segment in O’Malley’s March (led by O’Malley, the mayor of Baltimore). Paul wanted to know if I was the “Jim McGuire” that booked O’Flynn up to Vermont in order to allow David Quinn to measure his pipes. Yes, and that had happened back in 1981!
I found both the picture and sound quality terrible (I have a DSL connection). Did you save it to disk first to get better sound qualtiy?
Thx,
djm
I think this link may have been posted here before but here it is again anyway. Elliot Grasso:

PD.
I have DSL as well, but did not need to save it to disk first. Streaming it was fine for audio (although certainly not CD quality, I did not have any issues with it). The video would get snow across the entire video window every few seconds.
