Supposed to arrive here at noon local time, around 2-3 feet.
Going to hit here at 11:26. So far they’re predicting a 12 foot wall. Could be bad. But we’re all set to move to the evacuation zone when the time nears.
Latest word–6 foot wall.
Probably a bit late to book a site seeing flight and I don’t suppose islands are a good place for hot air balloons…
As I remember the islands, they were fairly steep. Ya shouldn’t have to go far.
Have all the boat people sailed to the far side?
That’s not necessarily a good move. The wave can split around an island and create a convergence wave on the back side. Out to deep water is better.
There have been recent quakes on both sides of the pacific rim, and the Hatian earthquake wasn’t all that far off it. I wonder when we’re gonna get hit, and how badly.
It is beginning to look like I’ll live long enough to see it…

The first waves of the tsunami have landed. Nothing big at all, thank goodness. There’s still a possibility of more later, but mostly things seem fine.
