It’s said that some buildings swayed perceptibly downtown, but I didn’t feel a thing.
I have discovered that a number of folks who were sitting down when the earthquake here occurred didn’t feel a thing yet people in the same room who were standing really felt it. We recently learned the Lake Anna Nuclear Power Station was not designed for a quake of the magnitude that occurred here so restarting the reactors may be further delayed by the NRC. Also the containers on the site that hold nuclear waste (115 tons each) were moved up to four inches from their original positions.
