Congratulations to our Uilliam (Mr. Liam Hackett) for making it into the most recent issue of An Piobaire. There’s a nice picture of him on page 6 playing his Rogge B set in London’s Regent Park.

How DARE you refer to Uilliam by his real name. Since I’ve been on this board, the enigma of Uilliam and the photo of the possessed King Theoden has been seared into my mind.

Ye will note that Uilliam hAicéad equates in the Saxon tongue to Wil(liam) Hackett which is itself of Norman extract.My ancestor of yore being William de Hackett who did a bit o plundering in Cashel Tipperary in the late 1100’s and as I’ ve said afore liked the free hospitality so much decided to stay on
