Hi-- I have a Yamaha EG 112 (Stratocaster clone) that I’d like to sell. It’s black and is in excellent condition with only one or two small dings on the back (belt buckle variety
). This does NOT include an amp and the guitar does not have a tremolo bar.
I’d like to get $100 plus whatever the cost of UPS shipping is, but I’ll come down if it doesn’t sell pretty soon.
Like everything Yamaha makes, the quality is really excellent. This would make a terrific guitar for a newbie. The pickups are not at all bad, but with upgrades this would really scream.
Only reason I’m selling it is that I’m building a Les Paul clone from a kit-- I’ve had a Les Paul jones since the early '70s…Contact me off the board if you’re interested.
I drooled over the Jimmy Page signature model a few years ago, but I hated the sunburst paint job.
Page’s idea of replacing the standard tone/volume knobs with push/pull knobs was really cool… coil tap and phase switches without any additional clutter.
Of course, I’d also want to add a Bigsby for when I’m in the mood to play Neil Young tunes… and because I just love tremolo bars! ![]()

Not a bad deal, and you can paint it the way you like!
I’m thinking of an amber stain (light) on the flamed maple top to emphasize the grain. The back and sides are basswood which is pretty boring stuff, to I may either use an opaque paint for those or try a sunburst darkening to a dark brown stain at the edge and continuing that onto the back and sides. Then lots of coats of nitrocellulose clearcoat. I’m thinking of a headstock logo reading “Le Paul” ![]()
