My sister just called me and said you have to look at the Rockin’ The Hills web site. Well, what the heck! There we are in our tutoos and tiaras. I’m the taller one. This is an annual four day classic rock festival that’s held in Bottineau, North Dakota the last weekend of June. My sister and I always go and have a blast together. We believe in lots of silliness, thus the tutoos.
What has this got to do with whistles? Unfortunately nothing. In this land of Scandenavians and Krauts the chance of a Celtic fest is about nil. But you can bet if there was one Josette and I would go to that too and dress for the occassion!
Two silly sisters at…

Uff da! Sounds like IrTrad wasteland to me! However, maybe there are some ScanTrad outfits that would take you in, if you don’t mind playing behind one of those things that looks like a cross between a fiddle and a dobro!
Good luck!

Tinkerbell would be proud! We need more festivals here in Canada, and more people like you to make them fun. I am often envious when I read about all those fantastic gatherings in the USA… perhaps it’s time for me to relocate…?
Keep spreading the sunshine, and I’ll let you know when we need you and your sister to liven up a festival here!
Phlebas
Come on down Phlebas! We gets lots of Canadian rockers at Bottineau! You’re a fun bunch!
I haven’t found any Irish Trad. groups around here. We do have a HUGE event called the Hostfest in Minot. Norwegians from everywhere come up for that. I won a couple of tickets to it last fall and took my mom. Really a nice event. With traditional crafts, food and music. Being of German,Russian,Polish descent I felt a bit out of place but had a good time anyhoo.

Looks like a good time was had by all, sister mouse. I might wear a barrel but wouldnt be caught dead in a tutu! lol BTW…you might pass the word along to whomever is responsible for that website…the Rules are practically unreadable…white print on a pale blue backgroung…at least that’s what comes up on my screen. Happy rockin! Gm
Yeuwwww! You’re right Grannymouse. White on blue is almost illegible. I guess I hadn’t noticed cause as a veteran I know the rules.
Ahh, I’m looking forward to some summer fun!
