OT: To canadians who want to go in Ireland this summer...

… Air Canada has tickets for Ireland (Shannon/Dublin) through Toronto at only 750$ (US$500) during the summer. It’s very, very cheap considering that I used to pay up to 1200$/1300$. I don’t know if we gotta thank SARS, but anyway, trust me it’s a very good deal.

So, no more excuses not to attend Willie Week!

Aer Lingus has similar deals. . .some of them include discounts on cars, lodging, food. . .great summer for cheap travel. Unfortunately my budget has been depleted.

Yeah but the prob with Aer Lingus is that you have to get to Boston or New York to catch a flight, and all together it ends up being more expensive/complicated, anyway for someone from Montreal or Toronto.

I see your point, Az, but what I was adding was simply that EVERY airline is feeling the crunch right now, and you can probably get very cheap flights to nearly anywhere on pretty much any airline…now is really a great time to fly!

Yeah that’s true. Interestingly enough, it seems that Air Canada offers cheap flights only for Ireland. I checked for Amsterdam, Spain, etc, and it’s all over 1000$. Even London is more expensive. I dunno what happened with their irish destinations.

Unfortuneately I booked early and am going on the Sky Service charter on Friday - it cost me $650 taxes in. I say unfortuneately because I would like to have gone for longer than a week but the charters are only on Fridays so you can only go in increments of 1 week. I couldn’t go for a full two weeks.

Anyhow I plan to have a great time one way or another.

BTW Azalin, are taxes included in that price? If so it’s a great deal. I booked a flight from Ottawa to Toronto $29 one way $69 coming back. The taxes took the total to $240 :sniffle:

Gypsy,

It’s about 780$ taxes included. I bought the tickets too fast myself, this is what I paid in february but I would have liked to change the dates and go for a few extra days but I can’t, they’re restricted tickets. Oh well, I guess two weeks is better than nothing.
