I want to go to Ireland!

And I suspect a lot of people on this board do too! Now this could lower my chances of winning but I’ll share any how.

On page 12 of the March 4th Family Circle magazine there is a contest for a trip for free trip for four to Ireland. 7 days & 6 nights. Page 190 has the complete rules.

This is probably the only way I’ll make it to the Emerald Isle. If I don’t win it sure would be nice to hear that someone from the board did.

If you go on the off season, it’s surprisingly affordable. http://www.celtictravel.com was running a special during October, November and December, round trip from San Francisco to Dublin for $248. Last year when I booked thru them for a March trip, it was only $388 round trip. Of course, you’d have to travel from where you are to SF.

Shamrock.org was advertising a round trip from New York or Boston to Ireland for $499 which also included lodging, and an auto rental. I didn’t see it on the web site http://www.shamrock.org , but someone could probably call and find out more.

The spendy part for me is just flying out of North Dakota. Most people around here drive to Minneapolis if they plan on flying.

This is the coldest winter we have had in Windsor in about six years — I WANNA TO BE SOMEWHERE HOT! HOT! HOT!

Almost came close to having cabin fever for the first time in my life and that is a rarity for me.

I wanna go too!!!
And if it warmed up here, that would just be a bonus…MarkB I’m about an hour away from you and we’ere frozen here too…

Janice - an hour away! – which way? North or South? If it is across the border then it might as well be impossible.

ME TOO! ME TOO!

I was at the local grocery store stocking up before the big snowstorm today. I was in the beer isle and started talking to a lady about the difference between Guiness and Killians beer. She told me that she just got back from Ireland and also told me about the great deal she and her husband had for round trip tickets.

Now I want to go more than ever.

Anyways, we parted, with a Happy Valentines day wish, me with a six pack of Killians and she with a six pack of Guiness.

Cheers

Laura

I’m planning on going to Tommy Makem’s Festival of song in June. I went last year. It was a real blast. I hope I can go back this year.

Hi MarkB-
I’m 15 minutes south of Grand Bend…20 minutes north of Sarnia on the Lake…
