nanohedron: if you check the opinionjournal.com site there should be an article about the iraqi kurds and their dealings with minorities in their own region–yesterday or today. anyone who supports this war, as i do, still needs to be aware that the aftermath will not be utopia; to quote john cleese and apply it to war and its aftermath: “piece of cake, now for the hard part.”

I have yet to find anything in any of these OT political threads except a lot of self-aggrandizing masturbation – high-falutin’, arcane and esoteric masturbation, to be sure, but masturbation nonetheless.
For all the effect we are having on either (a) the relentless tide of human events, or (b) one another’s opinions, we might as well be discussing the filioque clause.
