OT- Iam back!!

Hello everyone iam finally back!! I know you all missed me

I havent been in Iraq like a few people thought. I was climbing the Zugspitze, a mountain in Germany, and when I got to about 1000m my ears popped and I went deaf!!

So I had to go to hospital and have an ear operation, and I have been home recovering. Everythings back to normal now though, my ears are just a bit sore. I had to wear the biggest bandage around my head as well, I can tell you I looked like a right Tw*t!! Should have took a photo and used it as my Avatar.

Only have to wear a wooly hat now, but as its really warm in Germany at the mo, I still get a few funny looks, T shirt shorts and a wooly hat!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Havent played the whistle for a while either, I carnt even blow my nose!! The problems had something to do with the way you equalise your ears, mine werent working very well, so as I went higher it but more pressure on my ears until they gave in and popped!!! it really hurt as well, and for the descent from the mountain I didnt have any coordination or balance, as your ears provide your balance as well!! it was quite tricky.

Oh well…

Good to see you all again!!

Turner: Sorry to hear of your troubles, but happy to hear that you are on the mend. Welcome Back.

Tom

:astonished: Wow!

This Zugspitze stuff seems way cool.

I’ve seen bad experiences,
from Zubivka climbing to 4th octave,
–believe me that’s way spitz–
everyone ears popped,
but recovered after a shot of brandy.

Not the ears!!! For a whistler that can be horrible.

Welcome back old chap!

Newxt time you want to blow your hearing, just play a Gen D in the 3rd octave, it’s cheaper & quicker.

Hope the ears get better soon!

Here she is Zub mate, I didnt manage the climb this time but iam going back for her!

You could walk around like that in most US cities and no one would give you a second look. Americans are not known for our fashion sense.

Glad you’re healing up, Turner.

You’re a trooper, Turner. Your attitude is admirable for such a traumatic physical blow! Hope you heal up soon.
