may update

(slightly out dated)

I’m back in the saddle again. That’s probably not the best metaphor considering the kind of surgery I’ve been recovering from for the last five weeks. But I am back in full whistle making mode. The doctor has pronounced me a perfect you know what. Such before the present would have been inaccurate even if applicable. Thanks for the several who knew of my plight and offered sympathy and prayer.
If this report and your imagination do not suffice, email me for the full details which I’m happy to share!

I’m reminded and will remind anyone interested of another surgery three years ago June 6 that was also successful, because I have been cancer free since.

May was interesting, and some how I managed to fill all orders that came in. Fortunately it wasn’t a full quota month.

I’ll check in again soon, in June
Mack

I’m glad you’re feeling a little bit better, Mack!

I’ve always appreciated how you go by the rules and do a once monthly update!

Heal fast!

Yay, Mack!

I’m glad your surgery went well!

Good to know your surgery went well. I haven’t tried any of your whistles yet but I just traded for an Oak whitecap which is on the way.

Hi Mack. So glad to hear you’re making a good recovery.

I bought a beeyootiful narrow bore 2-piece from Mack several years ago now, it’s number 298. Mack also made me a great leather pouch to haul it round in but I always felt that given my active lifestyle (that’s a euphemism for a slightly clumsy nature, I guess) it would be a bit vulnerable on my belt or in a pocket.

Shortly after taking delivery I found a local drugstore had some dinky little toothbrush holders for 50p (less than $1 US) and to my delight I found the Hoover fitted perfectly. Craftsman that I am I use a bit of rolled up paper to keep the one end snug and the close fitting lid does the rest! Both whistle and case are as good as the day I bought them, so I thought it was time I let you in on the deal!

As a result of this extreme portability I seldom leave the house without it and because it’s such a good-natured, quiet whistle I’m able to play in all sorts of odd moments. In fact it’s the whistle I play most often, every day before anyone else is up for a start.

Just don’t expect to hear yourself play it in a session!

So glad to hear you are doing well and back at the whistlesmithying… and I, for one, don’t need to see the sacrs. LOL! :astonished:

Hi Mack,
Glad to hear all went well with your surgery and that you are doing fine. It has been a while since I have been on the site, but wanted to let you know the whistles you sent are great. They are easy to play, have a great sound, and quiet enough for a beginner not to drive my wife, daughter and dogs crazy. Thanks again …Frank Scott
