OT: 6-keyed Copley, plus R&R M&E For Sale

Out of lurking mode to offer good buys on a couple of nice flutes. Both in excellent condition and below list price. Price includes U.S. shipping (international shipping negotiable).

I am not selling either of these flutes because anything is wrong with them, but because I recently received one of Terry McGee’s Grey Larsen models and find it a really good fit for me. I plan to order a keyed version in the near future.

Please email me if you are interested, have questions, or want to see pictures. There are no defects with either flute, however, so the pictures on their respective websites probably look better than anything I can take. Since I haven’t been active on the board in a while, there are a few prominent members who would, I believe, vouch for my reliability if you desire.

1)Copley six-keyed blackwood flute. There is a joint between the right-hand and left-hand finger holes. Solid, flawless workmanship. Powerful flute, yet it doesn’t have the huge finger holes and breath requirements of some flutes. Comes in a hard plastic case. $1850.

2)Keyless M&E Ruddall & Rose model polymer flute. Comes in a vinyl pouch. $300.

Terry

Absolutely, Terry is one of the best people I know. He flew to NY to perform my wedding ceremony in October. I have bought tons of instruments from him over the years, too.

Didn’t know terry was a minister as well as flute maker

Terry is a lot of things, but he’s not a flutemaker. He did, in fact, marry me to Dan.

Just wanted to let you know I have a buyer for the M&E flute. Thanks for the nice plug, Jessie, but now my secret’s out! Don’t worry, though; I’m not into message board preaching, just charitable instrument sales

I have a 6 keyed copley and it’s really extremely
nice. Anybody who wants a keyed flute,
this is a good deal.

I bought a Copeland keyless from Terry over the summer, and am well pleased with the deal.

Another update to say that it looks like the Copley is sold as well.

Kevin, thanks for the plug. I’m glad you’re enjoying the Copeland flute. So I assume Michael got it running well?

Congratulations, Terry! That was fast.

Kevin, I was at a session with Terry the night he bought that Copeland flute, and about a year later, I carried it from the Copeland shop in Philadelphia back to Nashville to Terry after the cork had been replaced.

The cork was just out of position, nothing else the matter.
