This just kills me to post this, but an unexpected job change, international move and new house are winning the battle.
I just acquired this new GLP Mcgee flute (6-key) at the end of July. I have been travelling extensively due to work, so in essence this is an unused flute. It has been kept in a climate and humidity controlled environment in the case.
This flute is so new you can still smell McGee’s finish on it.
I purchased this flute with the fine timber case as well, which goes for around $200 or so.
Cost of this flute with long waiting list is around $2800 plus. With the wooden case you are looking at approximately $3000. I’m offering this for around $2700 or make an offer.
Note: I jumped the waiting list a little by working with Grey Larsen, who had one on order. Terry was still working on it, but Grey put me in touch with Terry prior to it being finished up. We settled on the elliptical embouchure, though I did consider the rectangular at first.
I wouldn’t let this go if I had any alternatives but at least I can keep playing on my keyless casey burns in order to ease the pain.
PM me for questions, pics, etc… If you have further questions
Could you please give us some more details? Wood type?, embochure type? headjoint type? short foot or long foot, etc, etc. I assume it is the normal 6 keys that Terry puts on his flutes.
you’re right on the shipping… my mistake. I’ve been posting up several of my instruments lately (anyone want an armstrong bass flute?) and probably just confused myself!
I’ll edit that out and about if I can.
