Why can’t you play it?
Welcome to the board! But it’s sad to welcome somebody who’s already saying goodbye to an instrument we’re all so fascinated. What happened? What’s this flute’s story?

I have been a member of this board for a while as a lurker but lost my details and had to re-register.
So you see the flute has been always something that I have loved.
I have tried in the past and given up, and fell for the charms again, hence the ormiston flute.
Combination of poor breath control and arthritic fingers not being flexible enough are the main reasons for giving up, plus of course the fiddle and banjo are my main instruments and don’t cause me the problems the flute does.
Got to face facts that maybe I don’t love it enough to push myself more when I have an easier path with my other instruments to play in a session with.
So hi all…better late than never.
