Ormiston keyless flute on Ebay

Like new – George Ormiston keyless flute in D. I think I played it only a few times before it became obvious that I am no longer able to play wind instruments.

It’s nearly two years old, blackwood and sterling silver. Plays very easily, and has a smooth, rich tone.

Lots of photos and info on Ebay (I have a "trading assistant handling the sale). Email me at davidbdawson@gmail.com if you need more info.

Thanks!

My sympathies, Dave…a heartbreaking thing to have happen. You gonna terrorize the concertina message board now? Edgley makes a marvelous squeezebox…

Dave

Thanks, Dave – a squeezebox sounds terrific, but I’m afraid I’d lose a finger in one of those contraptions. Maybe it’s best for me to admire them from a safe distance.

The Ormiston sold. Thanks to all for the inquiries.

Dave - curiosity only: (and I know the flute was sold) what is/was the flute number?

Thanx, BillG

Well, I can’t find it. I saw the letter that accompanied the flute not long ago, but can’t locate it now. Could be that it’s in the box with the flute! I think it was in the low 400s, though this could be wildly wrong.

For what it’s worth, I bought the flute from Celtic Fire in early summer, 2004. I hope this gives you a clue, or provides the info you’re looking for.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Dave

Bill,
The Ormiston is/was #495.
