O'Riordan Blackwood C arrived....

…late last Friday. I don’t really have the energy at the moment to write a detailed review, but I will say this: For those of you on Pat’s waiting list, I seriously doubt you’ll be dissapointed. The used whistle I received is very nice indeed. It’s very well made and the the sound is wonderful - nice round tone, not too much volume in the second octave. The bell note is weaker than I think it should be, but for the most part, I find it very easy to play.

Now, if anyone has an O’Riordan D whistle they’d like to sell, I’d like to hear from you

Loren,

Pat makes additional tubes for his concert whistles. I saw a beautiful set a guy had in baltimore with delrin head and both C and D bodies. You might want to check to see if Pat has Blackwood D body available to complete a D-C set.

Just an idea you probably already thought of so just …

Thanks Lee,

I did think about it, but I figured I’d have to get on the two year waiting list for the additional body. Guess I’m just pessimistic about the chances of him having an extra Blackwood D body lying around, but now that you mention it, I’ve got nothing to loose by trying

I still can’t figure out why the original owner didn’t go with the D/C set? Perhaps he/she bought a complete D whistle as well?? Anyone one out there want to cop to being this whistle’s first owner? I’m dying to know who it was…
