Whats the story with scoil trad? Has it gone busto? it seems to be defunct. Did anyone use this or mad for trad.com which also seems defunct.
Is the internet a good place to get lessons? Especially if you’re in the middle of the jungle?
I guess what I’m asking is, do you learn well from the internet?

I took lessons from Bill Ochs over the internet with Skype and the built in web cam on my Mac computer. It worked surprisingly well. He could hear when I was sharp or flat(I suppose thats good). Once in a while the viewing and voice would get choppy but overall it was a good experience.
I learn most of my tin whistle playing from the internet. I don’t have the time in real life to find a teacher to teach me.
My teacher and his friend post tunes on line through lunchtunes.com . Maybe that will add to your internet resources in hearing how tunes are played. Have fun! janmarie
