on songs played solely with the regs

someone brought this up awhile back…and it was said that nothing interesting could be done with a regulator tune save “novelty”

a little composition of mine for regs alone. the last chord should be held out longer, but people started talking. i was recording in church when it was empty, only it didn’t stay empty… don’t people have their priorities straight? pipes first, speech second

anyway, here it is…

!!!

That was my topic! And oh man. LOVELY tune! I like that alot! AHHHHH… Reminds me of like… Piano… Like one of Bach’s pieces from The Well Tempered Clavier!! One day when I get my regs, I’ll definitely be composing on the regs as well =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDd

Do you have a recording of you playing your piece on your regulators?

 You didn’t fall for that one either, Joseph?

djm

lol..wanted to see if it would pass…

no…sadly my regs in particular at not in reliable enuff shape to do that, but i’m working on them.

once i get them to that point i will record as an mp3 and repost.

what gave it away?

by anyway…back to my point…i don’t see why reg-only tunes can’t be something more than just a novelty…

…hmmmmmmmmmmm… Oh, I dunno, but the recorded instrument sounded amazingly like a small Casio electronic keyboard.

it’s a combo of midi oboe/bassoon/english horn done with the Melody music writing software, which sadly do not sound much different from my actual regs… actually, so close it isn’t healthy.

AHAHAHA… I knew that!
