See if you can guess what is going through his mind during this session?
Was it: “Do I know this tune?” or “They are playing too damn fast!” or “Where am I?”
Hey, who put this big red flowery thing in my bongos?!!
!
HE IS FILLED WITH AWE!!! ![]()
He is looking at Jon’s lap full of lovely flutes. He is also trying to figure out how to aquire Jon’s boxwood Potter! ![]()
All the Best!
Jordan
That’ funny, that was the last flute that he would want! The poor Potter was leaking like a seeve! I had lent it to a friend up in Seattle, and the pewder plugs were all leaking, I guess it happened at the post office. It had to be the time that the McEvoys were visiting. They all tryed to play it and Catherines’s son Fergus said it was a “Shite flute”! Anyway, it is back in playing condition, a lovely tone, but I would say, not one for a crowded session!
Anyway, John and I were trying to play it at the festival, he wasn’t impressed…
Maybe he will get another chance at the session in Olympia tonight…
Hey, have you ever tried playing a flute after a root canal??? Well, that’s what it looks like, it’s not pretty! J.
Jon, in the grand scheme of things, is a “crp flute" better or worse than a "shte flute”? I need to have my terminology straight before I write my next flute review.
Oh, wait. It’s the player, not the flute. So, is a “crp flute player" better or worse than a "shte flute player”?
Regardless, I’m sure Catherine, Tom and Fergus all sounded great, even on the “cr*p flute”, didn’t they?
Hey, did y’all realize that if you type in ‘crp’ with an ‘a’ instead of the '’, or ‘shte’ with an ‘i’ instead of the '’, C&F magically converts it to ‘cr*p’? Is this a bug or a feature?
Crp, crp, crp. Sht, sht, sht.
Y*p.
I know it is kind of Shtey, isn’t it! Actually he called it a Shte flute not a Cr*p flute! This was more then the player… Another flute player said after I told him the name of my flute, said he didn’t want to play it, as he just brushed his teeth! ![]()
Got that right! ![]()
We had a great time at the Olympia session last night!
The Potter is the perfect session flute for me, as I can screw up all I want and, since I was sitting next to the Bohdran, no one heard me…
