Olwell Keyed C flute in stained Boxwood for sale - SOLD!!!

I’m considering selling my Olwell keyed C flute in boxwood for reasons unrelated to the flute.

The flute is a piece of art and the only one of its kind. Patrick has made 2 keyed C flutes. One in blackwood and this one in stained boxwood. It’s simply marvelous, blows like butter with an amazing tone and I truly hate parting with it. It was finished in 2010 and comes with a custom Northwind case that also can accommodate a keyed D flute in Pratten style (see image below).

Seriously interested buyers can PM me here. Make me an offer I can’t refuse. No trades.

oh my! :boggle:

if you were taking trades, i would offer you one of my kidneys.

fortunately my kidneys are, so far, fine. Good to know though

well, let me know if you ever need one.

seriously, that is one beautiful flute

cheers,
eric

I’ve played this Olwell flute a number of times over the past year, most recently about two weeks ago.

I think that this is the probably the finest flute I’ve ever played, actually. I’ve never tried a flute that was easier to make speak and its voice is unbelievably firm. Immaculate tuning, as you expect from Patrick Olwell.

It was very difficult for me not to purchase this flute when Sven offered it to me last week. It’s not just a flute, it’s a treasure and a work of art. Unfortunately, like many Americans, it is not in my budget at the moment.

Whoever ends up with this flute is going to be a very, very lucky fluter.

The flute has been sold. Thanks to all who have expressed interest.

yes, for me this news is somewhat bittersweet…

congrats though, and congrats to the new owner.

cheers,
eric
