Hello everybody,
I’m Italian living in Milan and new in the Forum and new for the wooden flute too 
I found recently in the cellar of my grandmother an old wooden flute …
The wood most probably is the rosewood or the ebony … advice welcome …
While for the flute itself I don’t have any idea of the provenience and epoch
I don’t know how to attach photos in this my post … can you please advice me how to do ? …
All your useful advice are welcome

Images are linked in messages, not attached. So you’ll need to upload your photos to another webhost (photobucket, flickr, imageshack etc.) and then copy-paste each image URL with the 
image container using the “Img” button above the message text editor window.

Twenty years ago I was visiting my grandmother in Germany. She went down to the cellar and brought out her mandolin that she had bought sixty years ago. I started playing on it not know how the thing was meant to be tuned and she ended up giving it to me. I still have it and recently got it out again because I’ve started taking the mandolin more seriously. It actually had an absolutely lovely tone and a lovely action too. But the machine heads are seized up and I need pliers to tune the thing. Not sure how to sort that out.
Cellars are cool places!
