NPU Drone reed cane

I have placed an order on line with NPU for drone reed cane. Seems to be difficult to source especially tenor drone size.
Question. Is NPU reliable with on line ordering?

I have not ordered reeds, but anything else I have ordered from them is pretty prompt. You must write them separately and tell them to ship by express (Swift Post) else they always ship surface. I guess if you’re in England that’s not such a big deal, but to North America, that can literally turn into months.

I have been told by Medir in Spain that most growers can’t be bothered frigging with the little stuff for single reeds, especially sizes suitable for tenor drone guills.

I wouldn’t mind if I could get online with them but I just end up with a page of no menus. I saw the thread a while ago and checked me computer out and everything is set up fine. It’s funny though, I don’t seem to have a problem with any other website

Medir does, however, sell reeds of a good size for tenor drone.

Treat the Wife and Kids to some winter sun in the south of Spain or France and pick a suitcase full.

Yes. I think I could become the cane baron. Sell you that hard to come by tenor drone stuff at Extortionate prices

Thing to do is go shares on a stock. It’s expensive, mostly due to the carriage probably costing the same as the cane. Then by the time you’ve weeded out the good from the bad, the tenor from the baritone from the bass, from the d to the c to the b etc., Bloody drone cane, pain in the arse!!!
Still, good thing to do on a rainy day. Anyoner wanna?

Say Ben I’ll front the moolah, you be the mule?

Plenty of Elder around for the picking as well, for those who can spot it.

Hang on, let me get my Wellies.

Joseph, that photo is just too quiet. It needs some background sounds. Try this.

Ouch  DJM, that hurt’s my tonsils just thinking about those vocal aerobics :waah:

Oddly enough, when I was in the thick of this stuff, that was the exact sound which went through my mind.

Good old Johnny Weissmuller, the only real Tarzan. Too bad Jungle Jim didn’t have a trademark call too.

The above photo is the area
where I recently harvested cane.
As you can see by the photo, there
is an abundant amount of smaller stuff
that would be well suited for drones.
The next time I go back, I will
harvest some of the smaller drone sized
material and let y’all know…for those
who are interested, that is.
