NGC 1999: South of Orion

pretty but…

whats your point?

I think “pretty” is the point.

oh, well i that case…great…

but it is what i can see out my window at night anyway…well at home i can, no light pollution there!

Oh, I love it!!

I wish my eyes were that good! :boggle:

not a case of havin good eyes, its just a case of lookin for it

at home, on a clear day, i can pick out orion, the plough, the seven sisters, the milky way, the two dogs (canus major and minor), cassiopiea, and some of the star sign constellations…and more as well

Well, I can see the constellations, but not the nebula.

constellations are far more interestin tha nebulas…there are no myths connected to nebulas

I have many reasons for being more interested in the nebulas, but they are hard to define.

djm

go on, i’m listenin

 Quite the nebulous response there, djm!

that sounds like djm to me!

Sluder, make a trip to Blanca Lake. Well worth it.

Thanks for the tip! Most of my WA hiking has been along the I-90 corridor, Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. (I really want to get up into the North Cascades for some backpacking, but my vacation time seems to have a way of disappearing…)

C&F eats time for breakfast…

…and second breakfast, and elevensies, brunch, supper, dinner and midnight snack! :stuck_out_tongue:
