The guy’s got a few clips on his site.
I hadn’t heard any mention of this, until I saw/heard about it on Phil Hardy’s profiles.

That’s really cool, it looks like a Dixon on steroids. That will have to go on my list with Syn, Impempe, SZBE, etc.
First I’ve heard of 'em. I’m not real big on the fipple-screw look, but it looks like a decent aluminum whistle. The clips sound pretty good, too. I’m starting to wonder if it wouldn’t be a good idea to have a “sticky” thread, or maybe a section of the main C&F board, that contains a listing of ALL known active whistle makers, with maybe a brief comment and web link. There’s lots of makers, and lots of info on C&F, but it’s pretty scattered. Just a thought…

I’m pretty sure that’s what this page is supposed
to be. Probably tough to keep updated, though.
Yeah, I knew about that. I like it, and use it a lot. But it’s hard to keep that much detail accurate and it only shows a small sampling of the makers out there. I was thinking about something more like a chart with colums:
Something like this:
Joe Schmoe PVC whistles, flutes Low joeschmoe.com
Mary Smith Aluminum high whistles Medium msmith.com
etc…
Well, it loses it’s formatting when I post, but you get the idea.
have you seen this link http://www.ubound.info/Arts/Music/Instruments/Winds/Tin_Whistle/Makers/&bl=true as well, although not set out as you quite like your preference, it seems to have a more comprehensive listing.

Nope, hadn’t seen it. This is very good, and I’ll bookmark it. Thanks!

Even better. Guess I just wasn’t looking hard enough!
Smallish world. I have somewhere a tape of Mugar which I got from one of my daughters whose boyfriend at the time had some family connection with one of the members of the group. It was several boyfriends ago, so the details are hazy. ![]()
Both the ubound.info and the cbel.com sites are just clones of the Open Directory tin whistle links, which I edit. The other sites are allowed to copy the information for whatever use the care to make of it, but the original has more info and fewer ads. ![]()
