Whistle

Hi all. Its been a while since ive had the time or a microphone to record some tunes on the whistle. I just finished 3 tunes.

  1. Dans en dro. Its kind of a wierd reel. (starts slow though)
  2. Out in the ocean. One of my favourite jigs.
  3. Unnamed reel. I dont know the name of this one so ive been calling it that for a long time. If anyone knows the name i would love to know. :slight_smile:

So i sent the three tunes off to Tin whistle tunes, (clips and snips). and they should be posted soon. (Not posted at time of this msg) Since its been a while im kinda curious as to what people think. Im a big advocate of triplets etc and have been working to add them tastefully in my music. The people at the local session enjoy it but i wanted some opinions of other whistlers in particular.

the tunes are up now. By the way Tony i really appreciate all the work you do in maintaining that site. Its great to hear people playing.

Nice tunes Jason! I like your double/tripple tonguing…sounds “Flook-like” in spots.

thats great , brian finnegan is one of my favourite whistle players period.
The whole tonguing/triplet thing started to happen after i purchased the mad for trad tutorial with him in it. Thanks for the input :slight_smile:
