Long awaited.

The album’s called North Country, but at least two of the MySpace tracks are certainly from The Windy Gap, so I suppose that’s just to keep us occupied until we buy the disc. ![]()

good to hear ![]()
nice pic of himself, showing the mighty Larry grip:
… and there’s the patented Larry Fierce Face! I sat next to him for a bit in some sessions at a tionol a couple of years ago and was terrified. I was sure it was my playing that was making him look like that. Then again …

Anyway, that’s great news! He’s one of my favorites.
Alas, I just did a little looking around and haven’t turned it up. No mention on the Shanachie site, either. ![]()
Ah well, I guess I can wait a little longer …
Oooh!! ooooh!! Where is it!!! I need it!!! One can never have too much Larry!!! Anyone seen it anywhere yet??? Gaaaaaaaaaa, the suspense is killing me!!!

Who is Larry Nugent?
Seriously?
Chicago-based flute and whistle player originally from Fermanagh. Son of composer and fiddler Sean Nugent (RIP).
3 albums on Shanachie label, possibly not currently in print. My own preference is for the first 2.
