hi,this message is an update for anyone who has bought my reedmaking dvd.i now use a 52mm.staple with a finished reed length of 79mm.head width 12.5 to 13.25mm.depending on the chanter.a wider scrape overall.sanding block of 100mm.for concert and 70mm.for flat and regs.the slip is finished internally on very fine paper and polished to a high degree with paraffin wax allowing debris to blow through easier and a certain amount of humidity protection.tone chamber is gouged out 23mm.from the tail tips quite steeply.i think that is all the changes though the old reed design still works just as well.all the best.allan.
