I took delivery of my new six key Eamonn Cotter flute the other day I’m very happy with it. At the moment I’m still adjusting to the new embochure plus I’m not used to holding a key flute so my grip has to change which is effecting the sound too. However the odd time I do hit it right there is a fantastic warm buzz off it loud, warm and its easy to play.. Once I get the hang of it I’ll post a tune on it

I wonder if you will say how much this cost and what
the waiting period was? I am assuming you bought it new.
I have one of these I bought used from Doc Jones.
I think it’s a great flute.
sure Jim, the price 1950 Euros 9 Months waiting period (took about 8months). I think the current price has gone up to about 2000 Euros now which is still very reasonable. I’d highly recommend Eamonn a genuine down to earth man and very particular about the quality off his flutes.
Lovely flute! A friend also plays a Cotter, and they’re amazingly good flutes.
