#1. I’m going with mystic as opposed to theologian or other expert because there will be less homework. I can just say, “I’m pondering the concept of charity.” I don’t have to study anything. I may have to ramble. I can ramble. #2. I can be mysterious and strange. Without even trying. I can say things like, “Why would you want to be carried on a litter?” That gets the other person talking about something besides sports or politics. Unless they have a sports or political reason to being carried on a litter. Still, I could bear that better than “Go Bucs!”. #3. I wouldn’t have to hold in those kind of thoughts and questions anymore.
There’s a downside to this. I know there is. You folks would tell me. Tell me.
Mystics generally get payed poorly.

“Why was he born so beautiful, why was he born at all…”
Last night at t’Folk Club the Oldest Inhabitant and I got into a discussion of Gematria and Simonides. I should point out that my usual reaction to the term “Gematria” is two words, one of which is “off”. Still, you have smile politely. “That Simonides, eh? What a card!”
Mystics are generally not concerned with money. You might even regard that as a touchstone. Certainly the worthy ones are not thus concerned.

Why retire from doing something you love, especially when it’s effortless?
What’s the problem with assassination? Oh yes, it’s this one-world/one-lifetime business you worldly types seem to believe in. Some of us think of it as “promotion”. It’s good publicity, too.
I don’t wish to look down in the mouth, and I only wish to clout heads if it brings enlightenment.
