Music writing sofware

Hello All - Can anyone suggest an ID 10 T friendly shareware for writing simple tunes down in music notation? I’ve tried some that I Googled, but they tend to be pretty complicated. With time I’m sure I could figure them out, but I simply don’t have the patience to read through 5-10 page tutorials. I will if I must, but I’m hoping someone out there might know better that Google

Welcome to the board!

I have no idea what an ‘ID 10 T’ format is.

I use Finale’s Print Music, and have just started getting into ABC. They both definitely have a learning curve, but ABC seems a lot easier…

Good luck on your search!

Finale Notepad is free and lets you print out easy-to-read sheet music. It’'s not very sophisticated but is handy for notating 16 bar whistle tunes.

Thanks much, I’ll give it try!

And, I miss-typed ‘ID 10 T’: it should read:

IDI0T, sorry.

p.s. Looks like I misspelled ‘sof(t)ware’, too - (It’s that ID 10 T thing again). Is there a spell check in the post board?

I have NoteWorthy Composer. It is a shareware that can be download for a thirty day trial. Full version cost about $40
