I am looking for notation software and have heard that Allegro or Finale are really good programs.
If anyone would like to trade these programs for a whistle, please let me know.
I am looking for original programs with boxes and manuals, not copies of programs as I will be using them for commercial use.
Thanks!
Sandy
P.S. all enquires for trading can be made by email but I welcome any feedback on notation programs especially ones where you can control the way the music looks, ie font, number of bars in a row etc.
I’m using Notepad currently for a school project and it seems decent. I’ve run into a few issues - I can’t seem to change the key signature within a piece without changing it overall, and I haven’t figured out how to indicate staccato notes - but overall it seems pretty good.
NoteWorthy Composer is also a good bang for the buck(US$39). A heck of a lot less money than Finale (US$600 retail/US$300 academic) or Finale Allegro (US$199).
Cheers,
David
