Are there any sessions around Quincy? I’ll be in Boston in the early part of September.
There is a session every single night of the week somewhere in the Boston area, many are accessible by public transportation.
If you can get a copy of the Irish Emmigrant (http://www.emigrant.ie/boston/index.htm), there should be a partial listing there.
I believe there is a Sunday session in Quincy, either at the Holy Ground or the Half Door. They’re like 2 doors apart, so should be easy to check.
Monday nights is still the Green Briar in Brighton. Tuesday is the Skellig in Waltham. Thursday there’s a session at Mulligan’s Tavern on the Green in Westborough. Friday the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton has a session. Saturday you’ll find one at Dedham’s Olde Irish Alehouse.
Of course, the Burren in Davis Square Somerville (right off the ‘T’) has a session every night of the week, bar none, even Christmas and Thanksgiving, and 2 on Sundays.
Basically, if you can’t find a session, you’re not looking…
