I have heard Laura Mackenzie play in the past at Swede Hollow. She plays an amazing number of instruments. I believe that she and a few others are conducting classes for ITM in Minneapolis. Hope I can make it down there.

Thanks for the heads up.

5 Mile Chase is good, too.
Maybe we need to buy C&F gear for easy identification! Anyone else from the Twin Cities area? Nano?

Might make it. I know Laura, and the boys of Five Mile Chase, Brian Miller and Django Amerson; Brian is a topnotch DADGAD guitarist, up there with the best IMHO, and a great fluteplayer. Django is a skilful fiddler, and I think he still plays some 'zouk. If any of you go, see if you can’t get Brian to sing his song about “The Humours of Bemidji”. Bemidji is a town “up north” in Minnesota where he comes from, and he set his words to the tune of Tatter Jack Walsh, and sings it sean-nos style. There are some Minnesota-specific in-jokes, but it’s hilarious overall and skilfully worded. It would be perfect for “A Prairie Home Companion”. Great stuff.

Dunno who’s playing for Scoil na dTri or if they’re using recorded music this go-round. They’re stepdancers, very enjoyable.

Thanks for the “heads-up” Tintin!

I WILL make it to that one! Do you know the entrance fee?

Don’t forget the New Renaissance Festival starting this weekend in Chippawa Falls Wisconsin. It will be almost as big as the Shakopee MN and Racine Wis. shows. HUZZAH!!

Hey, so how was it? Laura asked me to make it, but I’d forgot a prior commitment with the band at a wedding reception. I really wanted to go.
