Mrugacz Whistles UK.

Hi guys, just found a new maker in the midlands here in the UK.
His name is Eddie Mrugacz (Polish/UK)
He is one of the only makers I know that makes wood and meata high Ds.
His whistles are lovely and are very well made.I have put clips of these whistles up in the PRO-FILES section.
As far as I know they are only available from www.soarvalleymusic.co.uk as a special order. If you see them and want one I think it would be best to email david@soarvalleymusic.co.uk to check availability.
The metal D is made of copper/brass,the wood is made of wood!not sure of what wood.
Both have a great sound, different but both VERY playable.
email me to let me know what you think and any Qs.

I like the wood one…it does remind one of a dragon for some reason…very cool.

Any idea how much they go for?

Please direct me to where I can see them.
I cannot find them on the Soar Valley site.

never seen anything quite like either one of them . . . wow . . . the wood seems remarkable. nice full sound. thanks for pointing them out!

They are really quite beautiful. I thought they both sounded really lovely. I love the lines of the mouthpieces—sort of like some African sculpture.

Thanks Phil, these whistles look and sound excellent!

I have an idea what the hole in the wooden one is for - have you ever been caught with nowhere to put your whistle when you’re reacing for your flute? A bit of string through that hole would solve the problem!

A string through that hole would totally ruin the aesthetics of the whistle! The hole is part of the sculpture. In my opinion.

Retracked

I am sorry to say that the Mrugacz clips have been taken off at the request of the maker as he cannot make any whistles for at least a year as he is looking after a sick relative. There are some available still for Dave and I’ll put the clips up again when the whistles are is stock.
Still…nice whistles.
Phil.
